About The Position

Responsible for performing HPLC, SEC-MALS, UV-VIS and absorbance-based biochemical assays and applying these methods to a broad range of biotherapeutics for early and late-stage products and/or characterization of biologicals including; proteins, antibodies, peptides, and conjugates. Act as team leader and organize activities in the area assigned Train and lead others and efficiently prioritize and manage their time Coordinate training for employees within group and ensure records are up to date Assist in the hiring process and on-boarding of new employees Perform performance appraisals and coaching for direct reports Work as a liaison between clients, supervisors, and lab to report progress, needs, and delays Understand and report metrics monthly, quarterly, and yearly Identify risks to business and recommend process improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other related fields
  • 2-4 years of relevant industrial experience
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Experience working in GMP/GLP
  • Industrial experience and an understanding of the drug development process
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
