Position Summary This position is an entry-level position for an employee with limited or no industry experience. The focus is learning how to repair medical products. The BMET will learn to work independently as well as in a team environment while under direct supervision. The BMET may attend factory training classes and apply lesson learned through OJT training and experience. The BMET will begin by assisting in preventative maintenance and service repair, with rapid progress in the knowledge of medical products the BMET will display the ability to resolve routine technical problems independently. The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs. In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay. Requirements

  • Associates degree in Biomedical Electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years of work experience that demonstrates an exposure to the health care industry in a field service environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical repair and diagnostic troubleshooting skills completed in an effective and timely manner, experience in diagnostic imaging equipment is a plus.
  • Understanding of networks.
  • Strong technical communication.
  • Ability to read schematics.
