About The Position

The Biomed 1 independently performs routine and moderately complex maintenance and repair of biomedical equipment. This role handles system calibration, preventative maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and supports senior technicians.

Requirements

• Good working knowledge of clinical devices and biomedical systems.
• Ability to perform independent maintenance and moderate troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with medical equipment safety and documentation standards.
• 3-8 years of biomedical technician experience.
• Certifications (e.g., CBET progression).

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on a wide range of medical devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues with moderate complexity.
• Assist in equipment testing, documentation, and regulatory compliance actions.
• Participate in equipment installation and validation projects.
• Assist Biomed 2 with training or technical guidance for Biomed un certified.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to facility emergencies as required.
• Other duties as assigned
