Brown & Brown is seeking a Binding Authority Underwriter to join our growing team in Plano, TX! Reporting to a manager, underwriter at the advanced level of position/difficulty, working independent of direction from a manager. Primary responsibilities include analysis and interpretation of risks in regard to the underwriting function while determining acceptability of business and integrity of underwriting practices. How You Will Contribute: Accept or decline risks based on analysis of variables. Review new business applications to confirm that information is appropriate to determine underwriting actions. Implement methods for promotion of policies or improvements to processes. Review all risks for new and renewal business for any securities law practice exposure. Train or supervise junior level underwriters. Perform other duties as assigned.
