Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Lines Underwriter / Broker specializing in Excess & Surplus (E&S) lines to join a dynamic and growing team. Requirements

Minimum of 3+ years in commercial lines underwriting or brokerage, with a strong preference for E&S experience.
Property & Casualty (P&C) license preferred.
Strong knowledge of commercial lines, with a focus on complex, middle-market, and E&S risks.
Excellent relationship management, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

CPCU, CIC, or similar professional designations are a plus.
Familiarity with standard agency management systems; no specific system required.

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and grow a personal book of business.
Manage agency relationships and serve as the primary client contact.
Rate, quote, and bind risks for new and renewal business, focusing on complex accounts.
Develop and execute marketing plans to drive business growth.
Submit underwriting referrals to brokerage facilities and leadership as needed.
Monitor and analyze performance metrics, including hit ratio, retention, growth, and loss ratio.
Train and mentor assistant and associate underwriters to support team development.
