About The Position

As a Bindery - Operator III you will be responsible for the set up, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of applicable equipment. The equipment operated includes, but is not limited to: Cutters, Folders, Tippers, Sewers, Inserters, Reinforcers and Forklifts. Required Systems/Applications: AS400 or Monarch Essential Functions: Set up, run, and maintain assigned machinery. Troubleshoot assigned machinery according to company procedures and practices to assure efficiency and quality to meet the required production schedule. Read and understand the written information pertaining to the job. Strive to meet or exceed departmental and company goals. Interpret and apply department policies, procedures and job instructions accurately. Communicate effectively with incoming shift personnel to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruptions. Maintain accurate counts. Move and organize scheduled work for assigned machinery. Assist in training new Bindery Operators. Monitor production and quality to make recommendations on process improvements. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to remain organized and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn computer applications as necessary for the position.
  • Ability to read, interpret and follow verbal and written instructions, work procedures and other related materials.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong customer service skills.
  • Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed.
  • Ability to work overtime beyond the standard 40-hour workweek depending on production requirements.
  • Ability to be flexible, dependable, and have a strong work ethic is essential.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 30 days in a Bindery role.
