About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM/VDC Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will handle complex designing and drafting assignments, maintain project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule, and collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and field personnel. This role requires strong knowledge of the electrical construction industry and the ability to resolve conflicts and present cost-effective solutions.

Requirements

Proven experience as a BIM/VDC Designer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in BIM software and tools.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to identify and resolve design conflicts and present cost-effective solutions.

Nice To Haves

Experience in the electrical construction industry is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models of electrical systems including conduit, cable tray, lighting, power distribution, and equipment.
Participate in multi-trade coordination and perform clash detection to resolve conflicts with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural systems.
Produce coordinated installation drawings and shop drawings for field teams.
Support construction planning, sequencing, and visualization using BIM models.
Generate spool drawings and model assemblies to support electrical prefabrication.
Assist with field layout and verification using BIM-based layout technology.
Maintain accurate model documentation and support as-built model development at project completion.
Complete project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule.
Participate in coordination and project-related meetings.
Perform other responsibilities as necessary to support the successful completion of projects.
Effectively communicate with project managers, project engineers, and field personnel.
Identify and resolve conflicts with the design team and present well-thought-out and cost-effective solutions.
Maintain a strong understanding of the electrical construction industry and processes.
