We are seeking an ambitious BIM Project Coordinator, who thrives on challenges and wants to grow their career, to join the Bala team. This role can be based out any of Bala's office locations. The BIM Project Coordinator role will be dedicated to various client portfolios acting as the liaison between the client BIM Manager and Bala’s design team ensuring that all BIM related project needs are addressed. This includes performing the tasks identified under responsibilities” and helping the other BIM Coordinators to perform the tasks identified under “Additional responsibilities”.

Requirements

  • Experience reviewing design and construction drawings with the goal of finding and correcting discrepancies, mistakes and inconsistencies.
  • Minimum 3 years Revit project setup experience, including understanding of Revit families, parameters, schedules & systems
  • Knowledge of BIM 360/ACC
  • Experiecne in Clash Detection using Navisworks and ACC
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Capability to clearly communicate with clients and team members and document daily activities as required
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Problem solving skills (e.g., improving workflows, automating repetitive tasks, troubleshooting)

Nice To Haves

  • Coding experience in Dynamo or Python a plus
  • Autodesk Certification Professional (Architecture, Mechanical, or Electrical) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Attend BIM specific meetings as required
  • Backgrounds Updates
  • Review of all model Coordinates and update as required
  • Review and update Titleblocks as required
  • Export of eTransmitted Revit and Navisworks files at scheduled intervals
  • Manage Internal Clash Detection , create assign and verify issue resolutions
  • Review Drawings for overall presentation (visual/graphical, not design related)
  • Review Title block, revision information, nomenclature, issuance dates etc.
  • Review Sheet index matches issued sheets
  • Identified background discrepancies
  • Visual and textual errors or inconsistencies
  • Download and upload models; set up and update complex models
  • Provide phone, email support to users in multiple offices
  • Attend meetings and/or conference calls with clients and other team members on BIM execution plans and model setup issues
  • Setup in-house Revit kickoff meetings for the design team
  • Assist in the preparation of Revit modeling to support other disciplines on an as needed basis
  • Troubleshooting end-users’ issues
