About The Position

Due to significant business growth (over 30% last year), we are adding a dedicated Billing Specialist to support our expanding customer base. The primary functions of the Billing Specialist is to support the business by resolving credit holds and work closely with the accounting team to resolve issues with billing customers. The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, customer focused, and results driven. The Billing Specialist must be highly detailed and able to pivot between tasks as needs arise. Consistency in applying policies and procedures is critical. This role is very customer focused, providing accurate information to all relevant constituents.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of billing experience
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Organization

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve customer billing issues, including questions about charges or potential overbilling.
  • Review customer accounts to determine next steps and ensure accurate billing records.
  • Create credits when necessary based on findings from account investigations.
  • Work with Accounting to resolve issues with billing.
  • Prepare quotes/custom invoices.
  • Clear credit holds daily by reaching out to customers via outbound call.
  • Make 5–10 outbound calls each day to follow up on payment method issues for orders currently in production.
  • Support customers in updating or correcting payment methods to avoid delays.
