As a Billing & Payments Specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring timely, accurate processing and reconciliation of member payments. In this production‑focused role, you’ll support daily billing operations across insurance and membership products—helping maintain smooth financial workflows and exceptional member experiences. Success in this position requires strong communication skills and a collaborative approach, as you’ll work closely with teammates and cross‑functional partners to keep processes running efficiently.

Requirements

  • Experience in billing, treasury operations, finance, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of payment types (ACH, wire, check) and reconciliation practices.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and cross‑functional partners.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong time‑management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance industry experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Process incoming and outgoing insurance‑related transactions, including premium payments, member refunds, and agent commissions.
  • Reconcile daily payments across internal billing, insurance, and payment systems; investigate and resolve variances.
  • Analyze, calculate, and execute member payment adjustments.
  • Accurately allocate and apply payments to customer policies.
  • Identify, research, and escalate payment discrepancies or exceptions.
  • Maintain precise records and documentation to support internal controls and audit requirements.
  • Partner with peers and internal teams to ensure smooth handoffs, accurate information flow, and consistent member support.
