About The Position

Boyer Children's Clinic is currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Billing Manager to lead our billing operations and supervise a dedicated team. Boyer Children's Clinic provides medical, therapy, special education and family services to infants and young children with developmental delays, and their families. Requirements

  • Previous experience of two or more years as a lead billing role is required.
  • Educational requirements include an Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Appropriate experience can substitute for educational requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player with a customer service attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills, with ability to be flexible and adapt.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to be action- and solution-oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to earn trust, express self effectively (in writing and verbally), internally and externally.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with billing Medicaid or MCOs preferred.
  • Experience with insurance portals such as OneHealthPort, Navinet, ProviderOne, Availity, UHCOnline is preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the non-profit sector preferred.
  • Experience analyzing reports, implementing new procedures, and negotiating contracts with insurance companies a plus
  • Medical Billing Certification desired.
  • Proficiency/working knowledge of current billing software programs, particularly Raintree (Boyer’s EMR Solution) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the billing team, managing workflow, performance, and professional development
  • Oversee coding accuracy, billing procedures, claims submission, denials management, and collections
  • Monitor aging reports and key performance indicators to improve financial outcomes
  • Audit billing processes and ensure compliance with payor contracts, governmental regulations, and HIPAA standards
  • Partner with Program Leadership to improve systems and strengthen cross-department collaboration
  • Analyze monthly and annual reports and provide strategic recommendations
  • Support provider credentialing and respond to billing inquiries from patients, staff, and payors
  • Other duties as assigned
