Wellfleet, a Berkshire Hathaway Company, seeks an experienced Billing & Commission Analyst to support the Wellfleet Workplace block of business. The Billing Coordinator is an instrumental contributor to the service Wellfleet provides to customers and brokers. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of billing and broker commission processes supporting the Workplace Benefits organization. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in related field with a minimum of 2+ years billing experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of the workplace benefits industry and products
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with internal and external customers
  • Possess strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and handle high volume tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage multiple assignments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Ability to independently analyze problems, identify solutions and implement effectively
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer billing and broker commissions, analyze data, produce invoices and statements, and billing/commission reports accurately and timely
  • Work with the client management team, sales team, and external entities to resolve billing and commission issues
  • Manage overdue payments for billing groups
  • Provide premium, commission, and other data to required entities
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of billing and broker commission related transactions
  • Develop and implement best practices for customer/broker audits, including process documentation, training, and corrective action plans
  • Research and respond to customers (internal and external) by phone, email, or other forms of communication
  • Research issues or concerns to determine resolutions. Escalate to appropriate individuals as necessary and follow up to ensure a response is given in a timely manner
  • Independently resolve customer issues related to billing and commissions
  • Assist other team members outside of the department when issues arise involving financial transactions such as billing/commission discrepancies, billing/commission questions, etc.
  • Ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are met
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
