About The Position

This position is responsible for: Manages complex billing functions for multiple grantors, computer systems, and processes. Interacts with program staff to ensure accurate reporting of services provided and to capture required documentation to bill for those services. Audits billing services and ensures up to date at all times.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED AND
  • Three years progressively responsible experience working in general office with accounting, bookkeeping, or medical billing and reimbursement responsibilities OR
  • Any equivalent combination of training & experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Valid State Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Collects, audits, and organizes all bed rosters, sign-in sheets, and other required backup for billing.
  • Coordinates with program staff to correct errors/provide missing documentation
  • Submits complete and accurate bi-weekly billing to ADMH through FEI system. Verifies correct billing codes are entered-adjusts as needed.
  • Generates & submit complete monthly billing to Veterans Affairs and US Courts Treatment Services.
  • Adds receivables to SAGE.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft products with advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Accepts program fees and issues receipts.
  • Processes applications for SNAP benefits with Alabama DHR.
  • Completes monthly reports.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement structures.
