Take a leading role in ensuring smooth, efficient daily operations within the Central Billing Office, stepping in for the Billing Supervisor as needed. Provide hands-on training for new team members and offer ongoing support to staff as they navigate process changes, questions, and day-to-day responsibilities. Requirements

  • High School or Vocational School graduate.
  • Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
  • Previous homecare office experience.
  • Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Answer questions and resolve problems related to billing operations as billing expert.
  • Performs complex billing functions such as cleanup of large accounts with multiple months of billing, and multiple payer issues. Work with insurance companies on difficult cases such as multiple accounts not getting paid correctly and coding issues.
  • Work A/R Reports which would include; submitting paper claims, working denials to assure proper payment of claims, prepare documents for secondary filing, and handle any inquiries regarding claims/reports.
  • Share responsibility through timely communication of identified problems to assure proper payment on claims.
  • Orient and train new staff
