About The Position

Bilingual Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator A collaborative, equity-minded leader to serve as Bilingual Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator. The Bilingual Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator is responsible for creating, assessing, and continuously improving the policies, processes, and practices necessary to: facilitate equitable student learning and success; deliver excellent service; and accomplish the work of the Student Services division. The Student Service division includes outreach. This role reports directly to the Director of Outreach and Communication and serves as the CGCC representative to the community. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and be driven by a genuine desire to advance the College’s Mission and Priorities. Accordingly, the Bilingual Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator will provide excellent service with a focus on closing equity gaps in educational access and attainment, and will work to promote inclusive prosperity throughout the Columbia Gorge region. Where we are… Columbia Gorge Community College serves a diverse region in north-central Oregon and south-central Washington. CGCC acknowledges we are on the homelands of the Confederated Tribe of the Yakama Nation and neighboring tribes as well as the 14 bands along the Inchi I’wana (Columbia River). Our main campus is within the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area in The Dalles, Oregon. We also have a beautiful site in the city of Hood River. What you will do… Represent CGCC by promoting the quality and scope of the college’s educational programs to high school students, parents and the general public. Present CGCC’s programs, admissions process, and basic financial aid information to diverse audiences, in small and large group settings, both in-person and virtually. Represent CGCC at local and regional college fairs and events. Manage and serve a designated recruitment territory in collaboration with the outreach team. Support summer programs, college orientation sessions, and other recruitment and outreach activities. Utilize CRM systems to enter, track, and manage prospective student data from multiple inquiry sources in a timely manner. Conduct follow-up communications with prospective students through outreach campaigns. Collaborate with other Student Services staff, including Financial Aid and Academic Advising, to create a welcoming, student-centered experience for prospective and newly admitted students. You have experience promoting equity-minded and diversely represented communications and materials, experience in responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and employees as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practices. Minimum Requirements… The successful candidate for the position will have the following qualifications: Associate Degree with more than 3 years of relevant experience required.
