About The Position

The Workforce & Recruitment Outreach Coordinator is responsible for building and sustaining the healthcare workforce by developing a strong talent pipeline including actively promoting career pathways, coordinating student internship and experiential learning programs, and supporting targeted recruitment efforts for high-need positions. This position builds strong relationships with local and regional schools, colleges, workforce agencies, and community partners to promote healthcare careers and support long term workforce sustainability. The Coordinator also leads recruitment outreach and social media efforts to enhance the organization’s employer brand, increase community awareness of healthcare career opportunities, and attract talent committed to the mission of Lake Region Healthcare. This position reports directly to the VP of Human Resources. The Workforce & Recruitment Outreach Coordinator has contact with current, former, and prospective employees. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The incumbent has access to sensitive, confidential information and must be able to maintain those confidences. The incumbent maintains established work procedures and must be able to determine priorities independently within imposed deadlines. Hours/Shifts 80 hours biweekly, day shifts Monday to Friday.

Requirements

  • To perform in this position satisfactorily requires a Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resources or a related field and 2+ years of human resources experience.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, along with ability to operate various software programs.
  • Requires excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and presentation skills.
  • Social media promotion experience or ability to attain.
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required.
  • Requires ability to perform at an independent level with minimal direction; exercise good judgment and initiative; problem solves and makes decisions on a variety of situations.
  • Ability to function effectively in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to attend the work site per schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
  • Prefer experience with recruitment and retention including knowledge of recruiting techniques, social media platforms, and job boards.

Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of career pathways for current employees, partnering with the Talent Development Strategist to promote pathways and develop current employees.
  • Collaborate with students and prospective employees to create a pipeline of applicants to mitigate staffing shortages and build interest in healthcare careers at Lake Region.
  • Management of Dual-Training Pipeline grant.
  • Sourcing and engagement of candidates through multiple channels (job boards, social media, career fairs, networking).
  • Promote LRH employment brand recognition
