Production Maintenance Manager Summary: The Production Supervisor will oversee and manage production shift employees and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards. Essential Function: Understand client needs via regular communication with the Account Manager. Ensure that job site quality and appearance meet client and MNLSA standards. Manage all landscape services, including the coordination of all materials, people, equipment and subcontractors required to produce quality work. Inspect properties prior to scheduled service in order to properly prepare specific action plan for service. Adjust schedule as needed and follow up. Monitor irrigations systems, identify problems or necessary repairs, and communicate recommendations to the appropriate party. Monitor all aspects of the landscape and identify problems. As necessary, perform hands-on work with crews to meet work and scheduling demands. Implement and enforce MNLSA’s policies and procedures related to proper upkeep and maintenance, storage, use, and training required for branch equipment. Work with the Account or Branch Manager to identify staffing needs, hire new crew members, and prepare daily crew schedules. Hands-on training and support of crew members, including proper operation of equipment, pruning techniques, safety, and quality standards. Focus on safety and monitor safety records. Maintain and manage all required paperwork. Coordinate with Branch Administrator to ensure branch databases are consistently updated with current client information. Order materials as needed and monitor costs and deliveries. Request purchase orders and use in accordance with company guidelines. Work Environment: This position requires physical abilities such as strength, manual dexterity, and must be able to perform all required functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the Maintenance Production Manager is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, lift, crouch, reach, stoop or kneel. The position is regularly exposed to outdoor environmental conditions including extreme hot and cold conditions. Additional working conditions may include inadequate lighting, restricted movement and dirty/wet worksites. This position may be required to work on weekends, holidays and in emergency situations (“on-call” responsibilities). Due to seasonal nature of work, some peak load situations may arise. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina. Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
