About The Position
The Bilingual Production Interpreter supports safe and effective communication within the lumber manufacturing facility by providing real-time Spanish/English interpretation and translation services. This role ensures Spanish-speaking employees fully understand safety procedures, operational instructions, training materials, and company communications. The Interpreter works directly in the production environment and partners with supervisors, safety personnel, HR, and leadership to promote safety, compliance, and engagement.
Requirements
- Fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English (required).
- Understanding of technical and safety terminology.
- Ability to communicate clearly in high-noise production environments.
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior interpretation or translation experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction setting preferred but not required.
