About The Position

Kïdo is a global network of innovative preschools with the vision of creating a truly modern early years environment. We are seeking a bilingual Center Director in Training who will play a unique and exciting role supporting our Houston schools. This is not a traditional single-site position, our ideal candidate will thrive on variety and impact. You’ll have the opportunity to support as a floating Director across multiple Houston campuses, stepping in to provide coverage for Directors when they are out, assisting with training and onboarding, and lending your leadership wherever it’s most needed. This position reports directly to the Regional Director for Houston and works closely in a peer-to-peer team with other Center Directors in the area. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a strong bilingual leader to grow with Kido, with the potential to take ownership of their own school in the future. Your Role As a Center Director in training, you’ll lead with vision, compassion, and operational excellence. You’ll be responsible for ensuring each school you support delivers the highest quality of care and education while fostering strong family partnerships. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required to effectively connect with our families and bilingual teaching teams. Requirements

  • You MUST be fluent in both Spanish and English
  • You MUST have 2–4 years of experience as a Center Director in a licensed preschool (preferably 150–200+ children)
  • You MUST hold a current Texas Director’s Credential
  • As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children in our care, the successful candidate is expected to undergo an enhanced fingerprint-based background check.

Nice To Haves

  • You have a CDA, associate’s, or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Support Leadership: Step in to cover and support Center Directors, ensuring seamless school operations and building positive relationships with children, families, and the team at each location.
  • Collaborate: Partner closely with our Houston Center Directors as part of a peer leadership team.
  • Team Development: Train, mentor, and inspire teachers and leaders to deliver exceptional care and education.
  • Family Engagement: Build meaningful connections with families, ensuring their needs are understood and met.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee compliance, health & safety, and licensing requirements.
  • Business & Enrollment: Support enrollment initiatives, marketing, and budget management.
  • Curriculum & Learning: Partner with our curriculum team to implement engaging, modern early childhood programs.
  • Future Leadership: Prepare for the opportunity to eventually take on your own school as a Director.
