Harrison Steel has an opening for a Part Time Office Interpreter (Spanish). This individual will be r esponsible for listening to, understanding, and translating spoken or written statements from one language to another. Reproduce statements in another language for unique listening or reading audience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist the Human Resources Department with Interviews and New Hire Orientation Help translate Spanish/English conversations for a wide range of topics including Healthcare, Benefits, Policies, and Procedures. Facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak a similar language by converting one spoken or written language to another. Attend conferences and meetings and act as official translator to mediate discussion. Relay concepts and ideas between languages. Convert written materials from one language into another, such as documents, tracking sheets, etc. Competency: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Demonstrates attention to detail and maintains a high level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
