About The Position

Do you love building relationships? Like to learn and share your knowledge with someone who needs it? You're the perfect candidate to become a Member Finance Representative (MFR). MFRs use their knowledge to educate members on how to overcome the barriers that are keeping them from their goals.

Requirements

  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature.
  • Work may involve motivating or influencing others.
  • Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Mandatory Saturdays.
  • Must enjoy working with people, be professional in appearance and disposition, have good communication skills, and be honest.
  • Able to apply knowledge to educate and advise members.
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Accuracy and ability to operate computers and related office equipment as necessary.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

  • Physical requirements include: standing, sitting, walking, stair climbing (if applicable) using hands and fingers, talking, hearing, visual acuity, reaching including above the shoulder, occasional stooping or crouching, and lifting a maximum of 50 pounds. Equipment used includes, but is not limited to: computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, copiers, printers, fax machine, teller drawers, cash dispense machines, drive through carriers, coin machines, filmers, scanners, card machines, atms, alarm systems, carts for pulling, and step ladders.

Responsibilities

  • Assists members with opening and closing accounts, answers questions about products and services and resolves problems that are within their authority to resolve.
  • Interview members, receive loan applications and process new loans.
  • Educate and advise members to make educated decisions about their accounts, to ensure our members are meeting their financial goals.
  • Assures that appropriate records are maintained, required reports are prepared, and member account information is current on the computer system.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
