About The Position

Nova Medical Services is expanding into a new sector of healthcare services and is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant (English/Spanish) to join our growing clinical team. This unique mobile position supports providers across multiple points of service (POS), including clinics, assisted living facilities (ALFs), and nursing homes. This is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant who enjoys variety in their work environment, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and wants to gain experience across multiple specialties such as neurology, geriatrics, and specialty care. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Must be comfortable traveling between facilities
  • Ability to adapt to different clinical environments and provider needs

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred but not required
  • Experience in clinics, ALFs, or nursing homes is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable using EMR systems
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Travel to assigned locations across Miami-Dade, Broward County, and WPB to support providers
  • Assist providers during patient visits in clinics, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes
  • Take and document patient vital signs and medical history
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
  • Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as directed by providers
  • Perform basic diagnostic procedures such as EKGs and EEG-related support (training provided)
  • Collect and process lab specimens
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
  • Assist with patient scheduling, follow-ups, and referrals
  • Maintain clean and organized workspaces and ensure clinical supplies are stocked
  • Take detailed notes during patient visits
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families
  • Provide excellent communication between patients, providers, and care teams
  • Adapt to different specialties and clinical environments during weekly rotations
