About The Position

Vazquez & Poudat, PLLC seeks a full-time bilingual legal assistant (English-French/Spanish) for its Orlando office. The ideal candidate should have 1 year of full-time experience in an immigration law firm handling family-based immigration cases (adjustment, petitions, naturalization, removal of conditions) and some employment-based cases (PERM, O-1, EB1, E-2, L-1, H-1B). Job Description: The legal assistant’s duties will include drafting applications, petitions, letters and affidavits; coordinating filing of applications and petitions, monitoring deadlines and priority dates; researching availability of foreign documents and client communications. Job Requirements: The successful candidate must possess strong communication skills and attention to detail. You must be able to effectively communicate in the spoken and written word free from spelling and grammar errors. Communication, organization, and case management skills are vital. The candidate must be able to perform basic legal research, prioritize workload, analyze information and documents with keen attention to detail in an expedient manner. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, positive person who genuinely enjoys helping others with a sincere interest in promoting the rights of immigrants.
