Requirements

  • Must have 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Psychology, or Organizational Behavior).
  • 7-10 years of HR and payroll experience in small to mid-sized organizations (<200 employees).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
  • Strong knowledge of California and federal labor laws.
  • Hands-on experience with Paylocity Time Tracking, Payroll, and Expense Management preferred.
  • Proven ability to establish and improve HR best practices.
  • Expertise in employee performance review processes.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • 100% on-site role based in Tustin, CA (supporting additional sites in Santa Ana, CA and Bloomingdale, GA).

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate employee HR records, benefits, and life event updates.
  • Oversee recruiting, onboarding, job postings, and candidate screening for multiple positions.
  • Address employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and behavioral concerns.
  • Implement and manage performance review processes for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Coordinate benefit programs and lead open enrollment events with providers.
  • Maintain relationships with staffing agencies for hourly workforce needs.
  • Process payroll using Paylocity, including pre- and post-payroll activities, reporting, and expense validation.
  • Collaborate with Accounting on tax obligations, payroll registers, and financial reporting.
