Bilingual Event Labor Supervisor 2nd Shift Swing
About The Position
Join the most exciting team in town! The Indiana Convention Center & Lucas Oil Stadium (ICCLOS) is a powerhouse destination for some of the largest events in the country. Every day brings something new with hundreds of events throughout the year and annual events such as the Big Ten Football Championship game, FDIC International, Gen Con, Indiana Black Expo, Indiana Comic Con, National FFA, and PRI. This position will perform duties relating to the supervision of labor in the Install and Dismantling department and also assist as needed with English/Spanish translation. Schedule will vary days and shifts based on needs per each event.
Requirements
- Must have the ability to multi-task, work with efficiency and composure under stressful conditions, and have the ability to interact positively with the public, clients, and co-workers.
- Must be able to work fluctuating hours, with emphasis on evenings and weekends.
- Must have previous supervisor experience.
- Must be able to work varying schedule of days and shifts based on event needs.
- Bilingual Spanish required.
Responsibilities
- Work daily with supervisors/decorators to establish staffing needs and communicate those needs to union and other labor sources
- Schedule and coordinate labor for various trade shows for the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium
- Building and cultivating relationships with trade show clients to ensure best service possible
- Learn and operate event management software systems to complete billing and other functions
- Utilize communication skills to ensure proper flow of workday
- Be a bilingual liaison between our clients and our contractual laborers.
- Suggestions and recommendations for ongoing improvements within the departments
- Make recommendations related to hiring, firing or other changes in employee status
