About The Position

The Family Resource Center (FRC) Team Lead will partner closely with the Prevention Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the centers and provide leadership and support to a team of Outreach Coordinators delivering programming at Iris Family Support Center’s FRC locations. This is a leadership role, and the Team Lead is expected to model and uphold Iris values in all interactions and decision-making. The Team Lead will regularly visit each center to assist Community Outreach Coordinators in their roles, strengthen community relationships, and help expand programming—particularly in support of the Prenatal Support Program—while fostering partnerships with local agencies and organizations in the communities served. Leaders at Iris family support center are expected to coach, develop, mentor, guide, support and teach staff to instill Iris core values, beliefs, vision and mission related to quality service to families and children, as well as one another.

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, Social Work, Education or directly related field is preferred.
  • One year of full-time experience in home management, home maintenance, and/or child-care.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a Prenatal Support Program at all FRC locations.
  • Collaborate with Parkview Community Nursing and other outside agencies who support the development and execution of the Prenatal Support Program.
  • Assist in the annual review and updating of all FRC programming including curricula used, forms, program manuals, scorecards, data tracking, surveys, etc.
  • Assist in the start-up of new FRCs in our service region.
  • Assist in the hiring and onboarding of new FRC staff.
  • Assist in data collection and reporting for FRC funding sources.
  • Support FRC staff in executing all job functions.
  • Guide FRC staff in assessing community needs and developing FRC programming to meet those needs.
  • Complete the FRC portion of the monthly department scorecard.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Philanthropy, Healthy Families) to further agency initiatives.
  • Assist in leading team meetings, attending staff supervision meetings, developing onboarding plans for new FRC staff, providing professional development/coaching, attending community meetings, developing and updating FRC policies and procedures, ordering supplies for FRC locations, and tracking expenditures.
  • Assist in planning and executing events for FRC locations.
  • Serve as back-up when Prevention Program Manager is unavailable.
  • Provide feedback for completing performance evaluations for FRC staff.
  • Support FRC staff in maintaining and creating data systems including visit summaries, demographics, assessments, etc.
  • Collaborate with partners inside the organization and in the community.
  • Model ways to establish an emotionally supportive, non-judgmental, trusting relationship with parent(s), using independent judgment and adjusting as needed.
  • Provide translation assistance to staff and families and guide staff in using translation tools and procedures.
  • Exercise discretion and judgment in identifying plans of action to achieve goals and objectives, including day-to-day direct contact with clients, government entities, other agencies, and courts.
  • Complete all required paperwork in various databases within established format and deadlines.
  • Work within an environment of frequently changing priorities, deadlines and duties.
  • Assist FRC staff to identify, contact, and maintain knowledge of formal and informal resources in the community that provide family support and recreational activities.
  • Guide FRC staff in teaching and modeling parenting techniques to the families using approved methods and materials.
  • Participate in educating the community on child abuse prevention including but not limited to bullying, internet safety, child abuse and neglect indicators, human trafficking, suicide prevention, and gun safety.
  • Represent Iris Family Support Center at community meetings, community events, fundraising events, etc.
  • Attend 12 hours of in-service training sessions per year.
  • Attend team meetings, department meetings, and other meetings as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
