About The Position

FSRI is always looking for candidates that want to make a positive impact on the community! Position Summary: Provides coaching, support, supervision and education during parental visits with children who are placed out of the home to help parents work towards their goal of reunification. Responsible for communication with DCYF including weekly visitation summaries and court letters. Coordinate with families and providers to best support treatment work. Provide case management. Provide transportation for children to and from visits as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant career experience in human services, child development, education, child and family treatment.
  • Prior experience working with children and families involved in child welfare.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills required.
  • Ability to use all MS Office programs, mainframe computer systems and Internet.
  • Ability to work independently and as an interdependent team member.
  • Able to work evening and weekend hours.
  • Clean driving record as the position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of automobile insurance, registration, inspection and driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • This position requires agency and community visits, employees in this position must have the ability to: Travel to and from community locations and agency sites, which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Experience providing supervised visitation a plus.
