About The Position

Ensure the safety and security of guests, Team Members, and Company assets. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. Perform all of the duties of a Security Officer in addition to being deployed outdoors on bicycle, vehicle or foot with baton and chemical agent.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Previous security experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Graton Gaming License, Guest Intoxication Awareness Training and valid Driver's License.
  • Must complete Graton Resort & Casino's Security Academy once hired.
  • Must complete Graton Resort & Casino's Practical Bike Evaluation Course to qualify for the position.
  • Must be able to obtain the following certifications: Baton, Chemical Agent (pepper spray), and CPR/AED. Company will provide training once hired.
  • Must not have been convicted of any crime for which registration is required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
  • Respond to and assist in all emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity.
  • Patrol and observe all public areas, Team Member service areas, and Company grounds for the safety of guests and Team Members.
  • Respond to all disturbances in order to defuse the incident. Be prepared to become involved in a physical confrontation when necessary. Always remain alert.
  • Observe, report and take action as directed by the supervisor with respect to all suspicious, unusual situations.
  • Transport and protect Company funds.
  • Document all incidents as directed by the immediate supervisor.
  • Escort Team Members to and from their vehicles when requested. Jump-start Team Members' vehicles when needed.
  • Have working knowledge of, and enforce, all applicable laws, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of personal integrity.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Practice teamwork, support fellow Team Members, and create an energized, positive work atmosphere.
  • Maintain a high level of grooming and uniform standards.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Be aware and handle guest opportunities.
  • Must have knowledge of SDS booklet location for your area.
  • Patrol hotel grounds, guest and Team Member parking areas and surrounding areas continually observing them for prowlers, parking in restricted areas, blocking of exits and fire hazards.
  • Issue parking citations for unauthorized parking.
  • Direct traffic when necessary.
  • Investigate and prepare written reports on incidents that occur outside during the shift.
  • Assist other Security Officers when required.
  • Be alert for burglaries, prowlers, vandalism, trespassers, and removal of hotel/casino property without proper authorization.
  • Will report any damage to Shift Management.
  • Other job-related duties, as assigned by Management.
