About The Position

The Big Futures Program Coordinator is a part time, contract role working up to 29 hours per week, responsible for executing and expanding access to Big Futures programming that helps youth explore career pathways, post secondary options, and workforce readiness. The contract will run from the date of hire through May of 2027, with potential for extension or transition to full time status. Considerable local travel is required (no overnights). Big Futures connects youth to experiential learning through events, career panels, workshops, and site visits that support long term planning and personal growth. The coordinator plays a key role in delivering and coordinating these experiences, ensuring that youth and mentors are engaged and equipped to explore their futures together. This position works closely with the Site Based Program Director and Programs teams to coordinate programming, track outcomes, and support mentor and youth engagement. The role also provides partnership and logistical support for schools and community organizations that host or participate in Big Futures events. The coordinator helps maintain data accuracy, contributes to evaluation efforts, and supports overall program impact and expansion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or one to two years of experience in youth development, mentoring, education, or college/career readiness programming.
  • Experience in event coordination, partnership support, or program logistics preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (may be completed upon hire).
  • Strong understanding of youth development and mentoring practices.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with diverse communities, mentors, and partners.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with data tracking systems.
  • Ability to review and interpret data reports to inform program decisions.
  • Culturally responsive and inclusive.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation and the ability to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Event Coordination and Logistics Coordinate and support the planning, logistics, and facilitation of Big Futures events, including career events, site visits, and post secondary readiness workshops.
  • Provide logistical and communication support to partner schools and community organizations participating in Big Futures programming.
  • Partner with the Big Futures and Programs teams to ensure events are appropriately staffed and resourced.
  • Participant Engagement and Support Support mentor and mentee recruitment and onboarding efforts in collaboration with program staff.
  • Communicate with mentors, youth, and families to ensure access to and participation in Big Futures opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Post secondary Contractor to monitor youth engagement, identify barriers, and provide follow up support.
  • Data Management and Evaluation Maintain accurate participation records, attendance data, and survey results related to Big Futures programming in MatchForce and other record systems.
  • Pull and analyze monthly reports from the Willow platform and MatchForce to track engagement levels, milestone progress, and recommend program improvements.
  • Assist with distributing and collecting post event surveys to measure outcomes related to aspirations, confidence, and resource awareness.
  • Community Engagement and Representation Attend school and after school events and activities, as well as most Saturdays and evenings, as required.
  • Represent BBBSC in a professional and mission aligned manner at events, meetings, and partner engagements.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with BBBSA national standards, BBBSC policies, and organizational practices.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other duties as assigned.
