Your Opportunity Do you enjoy finding information, evaluating it, and sharing it? Would you like to examine academic books and apply descriptors that support library collection development decisions? This is a full-time hybrid position that requires the ability to work both remotely and in the Contoocook office.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related work experience in higher education, libraries, or the book trade.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
  • Must be able to lift and carry print books daily.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree or a comparably useful knowledge base.
  • Prefer to work alone but also work well with others.
  • Unperturbed by competing expectations for quantity and quality of work.

Responsibilities

  • Describe 30+ items per day
  • Assign descriptors from GOBI’s proprietary Approval Glossary
  • Master the extensive rules and exceptions for GOBI’s approval profiling services
  • Periodically curate lists of recommended titles on topical subjects.
