About The Position

Under general supervision, the Assembler II, assembles electronics components and/or circuit boards that meet established quality standards. Employees in this job class perform detailed and close-up assembly work, inspect packages, and label various types of assemblies. This job class requires knowledge of IPC electronic standards, ability to interpret assembly instructions and the ability to work with precision, accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Three years of work experience, preferably in circuit board inspection and assembly;
• Ability to work with sufficient speed, accuracy, and attention to detail to perform job functions as required;
• Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions and requests;
• Effective written communication skills using appropriate business English;
• Computer literacy to use business software, the Internet, enter data/retrieve data;
• Human relations skills to build effective working relationships;
• Demonstrated customer service, problem solving and common sense skills.

Responsibilities

• Assembles electronics components and/or circuit boards following a standardized set of procedures.
• Programs, tests, and troubleshoots assemblies.
• Ability to solder meeting IPC specifications
• Assists other departments in programming, testing, packaging and labeling.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
