Requirements

  • Prior shift lead or supervisory experience.
  • Special project/Maintenance background, including fixing banners, pressure washers, and operating other machines.
  • Valid TN Driver's License.
  • Current certification in CPR.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Ability to traverse continuously during an eight-hour shift, with normal breaks.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all conditions with provided inclement weather gear.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs or more when needed.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.
  • Basic knowledge of smart phone technology.
  • Proficient in computer usage and in Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service and hospitality experience.
  • Experience in commercial cleaning.
  • Public space experience.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English (read, write, and speak).
  • College education.

Responsibilities

  • Manage shift duties of the clean ambassadors while ensuring compliance with all Block by Block standards, best practices, procedures, and policies.
  • Hold the team responsible for completing projects and remaining productive.
  • Communicate and lead daily shift briefings, assigning duties and zones, and reviewing events, weather, and safety updates to Ambassadors.
  • Provide excellent customer service in the BID and towards the team of Ambassadors.
  • Provide guidance and direction for the on-street and in the field operations.
  • Provide written reports of broken infrastructure, graffiti on private property, and provide a basic daily report of accomplishments and tasks completed.
  • Provide direction and counsel to team members and report concerns to the Operations Manager.
  • Maintain a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and overall Block by Block standards of expected professionalism.
