About The Position

The company is looking for a BI Developer who can help turn data into reliable reporting, scalable pipelines, and actionable insights. The BI Developer will own a broad mix of business intelligence, data engineering, warehouse optimization, and database support responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone who can work across Python, ETL pipelines, Redshift, and BI tools while also understanding database structure, performance tuning, and modern AI-assisted development workflows. The developer will partner with stakeholders across the business to build trusted dashboards, maintain clean and efficient data flows, and improve the performance and reliability of the analytics environment.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
  • Strong Python development skills.
  • Hands-on experience with data engineering, ETL processes, and workflow orchestration.
  • Experience with Astronomer Airflow environments.
  • BI development experience using Tableau, Power BI, or comparable tools.
  • DBA experience, including partitions, functions, indexes, triggers, user management, and query optimization.
  • Experience managing and tuning Amazon Redshift data warehouses.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Use AI tools, including Claude Code and similar platforms, to improve development speed, analysis, documentation, and workflow automation.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL and ELT pipelines using Python and Airflow, including experience in Astronomer-managed environments.
  • Build and support dashboards, reports, and analytical models in Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI platforms.
  • Work closely with business teams to translate requirements into clear metrics, data models, and reporting solutions.
  • Manage and optimize Amazon Redshift environments, including query performance, data distribution, sorting, and warehouse tuning.
  • Support database administration tasks such as partitions, functions, indexes, triggers, user management, and query optimization.
  • Design and maintain data warehouse structures that support reporting, analytics, and operational use cases.
  • Troubleshoot data quality, pipeline failures, and reporting inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to continuously improve data access and decision-making.
