Provides strategic business human resources support for the ID Global Commercial and Global Strategic Marketing teams within the Rapid Diagnostics Infectious Disease Business Unit and other functional/business areas as assigned. What You’ll Work On Business Support and Partnership: Drive an integrated partnership with the business and HR leaders to define and deliver talent strategies supporting ID strategy and broader Abbott mission. Work closely with business leadership team to provide thought partnership, coaching, and organizational support. Strategy: Define a holistic people plan, programs, and policies to enable delivery of assigned business unit goals and be an active partner in driving business success. Talent: Execute talent strategy in partnership with stakeholder groups to identify and develop next generation leaders and diverse talent. Overall Job Expectations: Highly experienced in full portfolio of HR work in support of business objectives. Integrated partnership with HR and business leaders to define and deliver talent strategies supporting ID and broader Abbott goals. Strategic understanding of business priorities and demonstrated ability to translate to people strategy and actionable objectives. Ability to navigate through complexity and ambiguity; ability to pivot from strategic to tactical execution. Critical thinking and strong change leadership skills required. Ability to influence and manage conflicting points of view. Strong communication skills and ability to successfully navigate in a matrixed environment. Work closely with business leadership team to provide thought partnership, coaching, organization support. Drive Global HR strategies, programs, and policies for business area. Execute talent management strategy in partnership with stakeholders to develop next generation leaders. Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. Ensures the effective delivery of HR services across multiple locations and functions – working closely with regional BHR partners to ensure ID agenda is executed in timely and successful manner. Consults with managers to develop, evaluate and execute HR strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related area
  • 12+ years of relevant progressive HR experience in medical devices, pharma, or other regulated industry
  • Strategic understanding of business priorities and demonstrated ability to translate into people strategy
  • HR experience across multiple organizations/site locations
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree is Human Resources preferred
  • HR International experience preferred
  • Previous experience supporting a commercial team
