About The Position

Geisinger Community Medical Center is seeking an Infectious Disease Physician to join their growing team in Scranton, PA. The ID physician Deals with infectious diseases of all types and in all organs, including conditions requiring selective use of antibiotics. This specialist diagnoses and treats AIDS patients and patients with fevers that have not been explained. May also have expertise in preventive medicine and conditions associated with travel.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine- (Required)
• Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients to obtain information such as symptoms, medical histories, and family histories.
• Performs and/or interprets diagnostic tests as needed.
• Diagnose and design a plan of treatment for injuries and/or illness.
• May prescribe or administer medications.
• Prepares, maintains, and reviews records that include patients' histories, examination findings, treatment plans, or outcomes.
• Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
