About The Position

This position is for a Senior Manager within Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supplier Management with the responsibility, accountability and authority (RAA) to build and lead a diverse team of managers and individual contributors in support of BGS-Government requirements. The successful candidates will have primary responsibility for Pre-Proposal Procurement Activities & Post-Award Contract Management, Purchase Contract Closure as well as Internal/External Project Management in Saint Louis, MO or Dallas, TX .

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing supplier relationships.
  • 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management and Procurement work and/or general Business Operations.
  • 3+ years of experience negotiating and contracting strategic and/or transactional procurements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Supply Chain Strategy, Supply Chain Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Supply Chain Planning.
  • Experience with business strategy execution plans.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse team of Supplier Management professionals performing actions in support of BGS-G Spare part procurement, supplier performance management, terms & conditions negotiation, and supplier recovery.
  • Provide strategic leadership, knowledge and oversight of negotiation processes and tools, participate in negotiations as necessary and advance the implementation of strategic contracting strategies.
  • Ensure organizational, business and technical strategies, goals and objectives align with business partner vision/strategy.
  • Meet cost savings/affordability targets, mitigate risk, measure progress to plan, develop and build a compliance-focused team culture.
  • Establish an agile and responsive supply base with rapid response capabilities required to support the BGS business in a competitive and global marketplace.
  • Establish partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.
  • Build strategic partnerships with suppliers and/or organizations to advance Boeing's position.
  • Build and develop an empowered team through coaching and mentoring.
  • Provide developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities.
  • Inspire a culture that creates an environment where diverse, high-performing, proactive and engaged team members can excel and flourish.
