About The Position

SUMMARY: Responsible to assist and oversee with day-to-day operations of the Beverage Department, adhering to all regulatory requirements, and employee performance is in accordance with Four Winds Casino Resort’s policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Supervises and trains Beverage Shift Supervisors, Dual Rate Supervisors, Servers, Bartenders, and Barbacks on any assigned shift. Ensures smooth and efficient service to guests and adherence to C.A.R.E., Liquor Control Guidelines, ServSafe and gaming regulations throughout all beverage facilities in the Casino. Creates, posts, modifies (as required) employee schedules. Ensures floor operations are run in a smooth, efficient manner to ensure guests satisfaction and compliance. Calibrates and monitors automatic beverage systems. Contacts vendors as required for maintenance and repairs. Oversees and assists with pre-shift meetings with Beverage Shift Supervisors, Servers, Bartenders, and Barbacks. Assigns stations and facilitates the flow of information throughout the Department. Handles all employee relation issues. Administers and enforces departmental policies and procedures which include coaching, documentation, performance appraisals, ACES observations, etc. Reviews and makes suggestions to hire, transfer, suspend, promote, discharge, evaluate, assign and discipline all of the Beverage Department employees in a fair and equitable manner. Monitors and evaluates business volumes, making necessary floor coverage adjustments pertaining to the shift, and any employee call-ins and scheduling conflicts to ensure cost effective staffing levels. Completes all administrative reports, schedules, forms, departmental programs within timeframes and guidelines set forth. Maximizes cost effectiveness by ensuring compliance with established budget, labor and revenue benchmarks. Conducts monthly inventory of all bars, ensuring accurate reporting of on-hand liquor and adherence to internal processes for transferring/ordering. Completes daily beverage orders according to guidelines. Monitors job performances of all employees and provides feedback on same to aid the employees in developing and enhancing skills of employees and Shift Supervisors. Monitors guest alcohol consumption and responds accordingly. Oversees coffee-talks, cut-offs, and alcohol sweep procedures as necessary and within guidelines. Confers with Beverage Manager, F&B Operations Manager, and F&B Director(s) concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of attention. Sets priorities for all Beverage Shift Supervisors and provides assistance as needed. Trains, assists with certifying, and monitors employees in proper service standards. Work closely with the Beverage Manager, F&B Operations Manager, and F&B Director(s) to coordinate all special events requiring Beverage Service. Attends all staff meetings as required by Executive Management. Maintains close communication and works cooperatively with the Beverage Manager, the rest of the Administrative team and co-workers to ensure consistency of services and the highest quality of operation. Ensures compliance with all health and safety standards/regulations as well as all applicable beverage, federal, state and local laws/ordinances. Performs other job related duties as assigned and required. Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • One to three years related supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Appropriate licenses, as required.
  • ServSafe® certification, or ability to become certified, required.
  • Knowledge of HACCP standards required.
  • This position requires a Level 2 Gaming License.
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents.
  • Ability to write effective reports and memos.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from employees or guests.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group, and large group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to interpret data from graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.
