About The Position

At Derby City Gaming Downtown, gaming enthusiasts can enjoy nearly 500 of the most popular games, Fascinator Wine Bar and Trophy Bourbon & Cigars Bar, sports bar with live entertainment most weekends and a Kentucky Derby Gift Shop. JOB SUMMARY The Beverage Server is responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, accurately preparing and serving food and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in an excellent and timely manner and to assure quality guest service and a favorable gaming experience.

Requirements

• Maintaining positive and productive relationships among all Team Members and guests.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high-pressure situations.
• Black Non-slip shoes required.
• A high school diploma or GED equivalent
• 6 months of work experience in serving is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a valid Racing License

Responsibilities

• Responsible for taking orders from guests and returning these orders in a timely manner.
• Keep work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Perform "responsible alcohol service" with regards to guest limitations and pass any/all responsible alcohol service training.
• Handling all transactions according to the cash handling policy.
• Be able to use all bar equipment and BERG Beverage System as needed.
• Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests.
• All other duties as assigned
