About The Position

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Beverage Server to join our team. As a Beverage Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to casino guests while serving beverages and food. You will need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid Food Handler Card and RBS certification as a pre-requisite to being extended a job offer and maintain valid certifications throughout the course of employment
  • Must successfully complete Title 31 training within the first 90 days of employment
  • Must be able to obtain and retain a valid Gaming License from Augustine Gaming Commission
  • 1-2 years of experience working as a beverage server or food server in a high-volume restaurant, bar or casino is preferred
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is highly preferred
  • Basic math skills is required
  • Excellent customer service skills is required
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong English communication skills required to interact with guests, team members, and vendors.
  • Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • This position may require overtime

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience working as a beverage server or food server in a high-volume restaurant, bar or casino is preferred
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and take their orders for food and beverages
  • Serve drinks and food to guests in a timely and friendly manner
  • Keep track of inventory and restock supplies as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
  • Act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes the culture and values of Augustine Casino
  • Maintain a calm demeanor during peak periods of a high volume casino while operating at the company standards
  • Create a positive work environment, greet each guest with a genuine greeting and serve each guest with professionalism, confidence and knowledge
  • Own each situation when handling a guest complaint
  • Ensure proper serving techniques and standards are being followed
  • Follow proper ID checking procedures of any guest who appears to be under the age of 30
  • Anticipate needs by evaluating supplies, inspecting equipment and reporting maintenance issues to management
  • Follow proper cash handling procedures and ensure all guest checks are generated accurately and paid for, contacting management right away to resolve any issues
  • Remain adaptable in a team-oriented environment to assisting others and fulfilling additional or other duties as needed
