About The Position

The Beverage Inventory Generalist is responsible for supporting and executing both the physical and online (Accubar) inventory management of the overall BF/BMTN collection as well as delivering memorable beverage experiences for our hotel guests and owners. This position is both a guest facing: working in our outlets in a beverage role (bartender, wine steward) on Friday, Saturdays and non-guest facing role the other scheduled days. This position requires weekend availability (all days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday). The uniform of this position will always adhere to our restaurant grooming standards. The physical uniform will be determined by schedule: If in a restaurant outlet: server uniform or captain suit; if in an inventory support role: steward/F&B warehouse uniform. Restaurant service shifts are generally: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Inventory/Warehouse shift are generally: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to communicate with guests, team members, and managers effectively
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of math
  • Must be able to do property-wide guest charging and closing out of checks
  • Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to be on feet for an extended period
  • Must be able to operate a company vehicle or golf cart safely

Responsibilities

  • Can receive all beverage deliveries for Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain, including its delivery of to BMTN and around various outlets at BF
  • Categorize new receiving in the Accubar inventory system and fill out receiving reports with ACC #s for button-making
  • Make buttons for new wines/spirits and update buttons with price changes
  • Code receiving in Fintech
  • Print and post receiving reports for Inventory zone
  • Make GL transfers where necessary with the accounting team
  • Place weekly alcohol orders for BF for core programs (btg, spirits)
  • Assist with daily outlet restocking (bar pulls, single bins, group wines, satellite bar pulls) as needed
  • Set up wine/whiskey tastings
  • Assist Asst. Director in wine list updates (pulling wines, loading into Single bins)
  • Count inventory zones with beverage team in annual wine inventory
  • Can capably bartend in the Dogwood bar and provide service to our guests by way of the Dogwood winelist and lunch service.
  • Weekly Alcohol Receiving for Blackberry properties
  • Be present in the OC to receive deliveries
  • Put away all products received
  • Check receiving for Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain’s weekly order sheets and make notes on product shortages/price changes/missing items
  • Report these notes back to respective properties
  • Stickering Print stickers, post-receiving, and sticker new wines
  • When stickers seem off or are missing, investigate possible receiving discrepancies
  • Cellar Management
  • Maintain the flow of Zone X by moving out wines that are stickered, and checking the annotated receiving reports for where wines could go
  • Transfer and place wines in their appropriate pick-up zone
  • Keep cellars clean and tidy
  • Keep tasting rooms clean and tidy and stocked with needed supplies (water, pens, etc.)
  • Wine List
  • Pull wines ready for the wine list and plug them into the install wall
  • Print barcodes and make neck tags
  • Print/fix wines that are missing neck tags in the install wall
  • Return wines that need to be removed from the install wall
  • Amenity Wine Pulls
  • Follow IRD’s amenity board to pull and charge amenities
  • Satellite and Bramble Hall Bar Set Ups for groups and events
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • To perform the essential functions of this position regular and consistent attendance is required.
  • Must be able to work well with other Team Members and Managers and interact with our guests.
