About The Position

The Beverage Cart Attendant is a key part of the guest experience, responsible for providing various snacks and beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, to guests on the golf course. This role requires timely, professional, and positive service.

Requirements

  • Six (6) months of experience in cash handling is required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; weekends are required.
  • High School Diploma or GED or ten years’ experience
  • Will work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
  • Self-motivated and customer service oriented.
  • Possess or obtain a Food Handler Certification and an OLCC card within 30 days of employment, with permit application submitted by first day of employment.
  • Needs to stand and or walk for long periods; perform repetitive motions with arms, elbows, wrists, hands, and fingers; and able to bend, lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires a criminal history background check.
  • Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Always maintains a professional appearance according to restaurant and golf course dress code.
  • Confirms beverage cart is fully operational before starting rounds on the course.
  • Sets up beverages in a beverage cart with the appropriate number and types of beverages according to policies advocated by the facility.
  • Drives the beverage cart around the golf course to serve food and beverages to guests.
  • Follows the rules of golf etiquette when approaching groups and driving carts between holes.
  • Ensures alcoholic drinks are only served to guests 21 years of age or older by checking state-issued I.D.
  • Greets guests in a friendly manner and inquiries about their beverage and or snack needs.
  • Restocks the beverage cart with ice, beverages, and snacks throughout the day.
  • Responds to customer questions regarding general information about the facility.
  • Accountable for all cash transactions. Verifies and balances the actual ending inventory quantities against the inventory count sheet and the created POS ticket.
  • Utilizes point-of-sales system (POS).
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Maintains a clean working environment by sanitizing beverage carts throughout the day.
  • Unloads the beverage cart at the end of the shift, replacing unused stock in its designated area. Ensures the storage area is clean and orderly.
  • Other duties as assigned.
