Requirements

  • Five plus years’ experience working with employee benefit plans.
  • Good analytical, quantitative and project management skills .
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • B.S. degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Effective communicator to all levels of the organization

Responsibilities

  • Manages the defined pension plan, 401(k) and stock incentive benefit plans including recordkeeping, monthly and annual reconciliations of benefit data, Officer & Director stock holding records, stock award vesting, exercise and grant administration, Qualified Domestic Relationship Orders, monitoring eligibility, terminations and disposition of plan benefits.
  • Develops and maintains resolutions, plan documents, amendments, summary plan descriptions (SPD’s), benefit summary outlines, HRMS procedures and forms, and company-wide employee benefit communication.
  • Coordinates and/or develops all participant reporting and disclosures required by ERISA including summary annual reports, summary material modifications, annual pension funding notices, 401(k) safe harbor notice, auto- enrollment & default investment annual notices, and other mandated communications required by material plan changes.
  • Interprets plan documents to resolve employee issues.
  • Manages vendor relationships and monitors services provided for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Works with outside auditors to conduct the annual benefit audit in conjunction with the finance department.
  • Provides oversight of outside vendor completion of all required benefit plan filings ensuring compliance with ERISA, DOL and other applicable regulatory agencies (i.e. 5500’s, PBGC, etc.)
  • Provides customer service to all employees to resolve benefit plan issues as they arise.
  • Monitors legislative reform and impact on benefit plans.
  • Presents information to Administrative and Investment Committees and maintains records.
  • All other periodic projects or duties as assigned.
