About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Benefits Manager (Remote). In this pivotal role, you will oversee the employee benefits program and manage a dedicated Benefits Team. Your leadership will be essential in developing and implementing a comprehensive benefits package tailored to meet the diverse needs of the team. You'll monitor policy compliance and stay ahead of industry changes to ensure our offerings are top-notch and legally compliant. Your expertise will directly impact employee satisfaction and the overall effectiveness of the benefits program.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive benefits experience required.
  • Experience in regulated fields and multi-site environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to benefits.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration, change management, and HRIS systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex situations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with productivity software (MS Office) and HRIS platforms.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Administer health, welfare, and retirement benefits programs, managing processes, billing, deductions, and leave.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations including ERISA and the Affordable Care Act.
  • Communicate benefit program features and options clearly to employees and management.
  • Oversee vendor relationships including insurance and pension brokers.
  • Resolve benefit-related issues and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Evaluate current benefit programs and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate processing of contributions and deductions.
  • Maintain records and reports in compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure plan documents are accurate and up to date.
  • Monitor compliance with all laws and regulations regarding benefits.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Benefits Team.
