About The Position

The Benefits HR Specialist plays a pivotal role in evaluating and enhancing clients' HR practices, specifically focusing on handbooks and Drug-Free Workplace policies. This position involves identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements using HR products and services to ensure client satisfaction and compliance. The specialist will assist in developing and implementing compliant HR policies while managing assigned client accounts.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Client Service, HR, or Benefits.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to HR and Leaves Administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Highly adaptable with the ability to multi-task under time constraints.
  • Strong customer service skills, with an emphasis on white-glove service.
  • Ability to build internal and external relationships.
  • Active listening skills and the ability to remain empathetic.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate clients' HR, handbook, and Drug-Free Workplace practices to identify gaps and inefficiencies.
  • Provide recommendations to maximize client satisfaction and compliance.
  • Assist in developing and implementing compliant HR policies.
  • Manage assigned accounts based on client needs.
  • Consult with HR Business Partners, internal departments, and clients to align policies with state and federal laws.
  • Ensure proper execution of policies and business rules supporting client needs and compliance.
  • Exercise judgment in interpreting employment policies and regulations.
  • Communicate with vendors and clients regarding policies and best practices.
  • Analyze and audit cases to ensure the accuracy and timely delivery of compliant employee handbooks.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for handbook, drug testing, and BG check inquiries.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal associates.
  • Deliver HR services according to Service Level Agreements.
  • Provide high-quality service to clients, vendors, and internal associates.
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve escalated issues through problem-solving and follow-through.
  • Maintain current knowledge of evolving HR, drug testing, and policy legislation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
