About The Position

Are you ready to take the next step in your HR career and make a real impact in a fast-growing organization? We’re looking for a Benefits & HR Operations Specialist who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to play a key role in shaping and strengthening HR operations across a rapidly expanding, multi-entity organization with employees in 20+ U.S. states. As we continue to grow following recent mergers, you’ll be at the heart of creating seamless HR operations that support our people and our business. You’ll help: Build scalable HR infrastructure Enhance employee experience Reduce compliance risk Drive efficiency across systems and processes You’ll partner closely with HR leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure our benefits, payroll coordination, and HR systems run smoothly and effectively. This is a temporary role for an initial period of six 6 months to support current business needs. While there may be an opportunity to transition to a full-time position based on business requirements and performance, there is no guarantee of continued employment beyond the initial term.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in HR operations, benefits, or HR generalist roles
  • Experience supporting multi-state U.S. workforces
  • Strong knowledge of benefits administration and 401(k) plans
  • Solid understanding of HR compliance (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, etc.)
  • Experience with HRIS systems and data management (previous experience in Paylocity is a big plus!)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in multi-entity or post-merger environments
  • Open enrollment and vendor management experience
  • Payroll collaboration across multiple states

Responsibilities

  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and more)
  • Support and manage our 401(k) plan, including enrollments and vendor coordination
  • Lead open enrollment initiatives and employee communications
  • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and related regulations
  • Reconcile and validate benefits invoices
  • Help design and implement scalable HR processes
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle (onboarding to offboarding)
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
  • Identify and drive process improvements to increase efficiency
  • Maintain and optimize HR systems and workflows
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across platforms
  • Support system improvements and reporting (headcount, analytics, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance across federal, state, and local regulations
  • Monitor regulatory changes and support audits
  • Maintain required policies and documentation across multiple states
  • Partner with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate data and deductions
  • Support multi-state payroll compliance
  • Assist with reporting, audits, and reconciliations
  • Be a trusted point of contact for employees
  • Guide employees through benefits and HR systems
  • Help create a smooth and positive employee experience
