As a Benefits Counselor/Analyst I, you’ll be on the front lines of member engagement, providing expert support on retirement benefits to Missouri’s educators and public employees. You’ll gain in depth knowledge of retirement systems, develop strong communication and analytical skills, and play a key role in helping others make confident, informed decisions. Through one-on-one counseling, educational outreach, and expert guidance, you’ll help members understand their benefits and plan for a secure future. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of member retirement benefits. Responsibilities will include reviewing member records, approving benefit applications, and performing detailed calculations related to retirement eligibility and service purchases. You’ll engage directly with members through various communication channels, offering expert guidance and support. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll also assist the Information Center by handling overflow and high-volume inquiries, serving as a knowledgeable resource on all aspects of the retirement systems. This position requires a strong balance of analytical skill and customer service excellence. This role is designed for individuals seeking a career with depth, development, and direction. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
Minimum of two years of office experience
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable performing complex calculations with accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Valid Missouri driver's license for occasional in-state travel, including overnight stays
