About The Position

The Benefits Analyst supports the development, maintenance, and administration of the full range of ORIX and our subsidiaries’ benefit offerings using a deep understanding of the organization's goals and structure to solve moderately complex problems. The individual in this role can work independently with minimal supervision, taking the initiative to complete most tasks and escalate them when appropriate. The job presents an opportunity to enhance functional knowledge and hone problem-solving skills while promoting team cohesion and mutual growth.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or closely related field is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in in one of the administration areas of Benefits: Health & Welfare, Retirement, Leaves of Absence (LOA).
  • Exposure and progress in other Benefits areas.
  • Some experience in LOA administration is required.
  • Required Customer Service focus
  • Strong understanding of benefits administration
  • Demonstrate leadership skills, ability to coordinate work with teammates
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain benefit programs
  • Familiarity with labor laws and the ERISA regulatory environment
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Proficient in basic computer skills, including MS Office suite

Nice To Haves

  • Progress toward professional certification/credentials preferred.
  • Proficiency in negotiating and conflict resolution
  • High level Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
  • Prior experience with Workday

Responsibilities

  • Implement and administer the company’s benefits programs such as our health and welfare insurance plans, paid time off and leaves of absence, retirement plans, etc.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefits-related issues and ensure effective utilization of plans and positive employee relations.
  • Provide customer service support with employees’ queries and address benefit issues.
  • Engage in benefits administration including collecting and submitting employee information, overseeing record-keeping, invoice processing and creating and analyzing reports.
  • Ensure benefits elections are entered appropriately in the Workday HRIS system to support payroll deductions processing.
  • Conduct benefits presentations for internal employee orientations.
  • Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes affecting benefits programs and inform the upper management as necessary.
  • Proactively Ensure compliance with insurance and other regulatory requirements.
