About The Position

Essential Functions: 40% Program Administration: Educate and advise employees on available coverage under health and leave benefits, sick and vacation policies and benefits and tuition remission policies. Answer inquiries made through phone, email and Workday Help. Function as a liaison between vendor and employee and department and employee when appropriate (ex: workers compensation/leaves of absence). Compile and maintain required benefit records and documents. Assist employees with enrollment in benefit coverage when required. 40% Benefit Maintenance: Complete required benefit maintenance functions such as reconciliation between HRIS system reporting and appropriate benefit plan eligibility, leave and sick or vacation time adjustments, tracking and reconciliation between HRIS system and vendor system for all benefit and leave programs. Review and track tuition remission requests each semester, working internally with the Bursar and Finance office to ensure appropriate benefit application. Identify and investigate discrepancies and workplace issues and make recommendations for solutions. 10% Benefit Administration: Process weekly/monthly billing, invoicing and account reconciliation. 10% Assist with special projects or programs including covering other team members during vacation/sick days Additional Position Information: Education: Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree. Experience: Requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an office environment, preferably in a benefit or HR setting. Computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheets, and database capabilities required. Attention to detail, strong customer service skills and ability to work independently required. Ability to interpret, communicate, and present complex and technical concepts verbally and in writing required. Compensation: The compensation for this position is commensurate with experience. Requirements
