About The Position

We are seeking a Benefits Coordinator to support the administration of our employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, leave of absence policies, workers’ compensation, and other employee perks. This role serves as a key point of contact for employee inquiries and ensures compliance with applicable laws and company policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has great multitasking skills and is comfortable handling confidential data with integrity.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., FLSA, ERISA, HIPAA, ACA)
  • Strong Excel and Word skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, confidentiality, and analytical thinking.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, leave policies, and other offerings
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and issue resolution
  • Serve as a liaison between employees and insurance providers to resolve benefits-related issues, ensure effective use of plans and options, and manage enrollments, renewals, and claims
  • Support the open enrollment processes and employee communications efforts related to benefits
  • Support employee education on benefits plans and options during open enrollment and one-on-one support
  • Partner with Accounting team on reconciliation and payment of benefits vendor invoices
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Maintain accurate records in HRIS and vendor systems
  • Support audits, compliance filings (e.g., ACA, 5500), and internal policy updates
  • Partner with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate benefits deductions and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations (e.g., HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, ERISA)
  • Monitor trends and make recommendations for program enhancements.
