About The Position

JOB PURPOSE: Coordinate day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement) and leave of absence processes (FMLA, ADA, personal, military). Ensure compliance with applicable laws, maintain accurate records, and provide timely support to employees and managers. This role focuses on operational accuracy and employee service rather than strategic plan design. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations; maintain HRIS and carrier data. Conduct annual open enrollment and employee communications in coordination with HR Manager and HR Director Coordinate leave requests: confirm eligibility, issue notices, track usage, and update systems. Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits and leave policies. Coordinate return-to-work (RTW) and, when appropriate; partner with managers, payroll, and disability vendors to ensure accurate pay/benefits and smooth RTW transitions Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA; maintain documentation. Life Insurance administration: including but not limited to- beneficiary updates, evidence of insurability, claims facilitation, and employee communications. Reconcile invoices and payroll deductions; escalate discrepancies as needed. Prepare basic reports on benefits and leave activity. Other duties as assigned. Strong attention to detail, timeliness, and commitment to data integrity is required.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in HR or related field.
  • 3-5 years in benefits or leave administration required
  • HRIS proficiency, attention to detail, strong communication, confidentiality.

  • This job requires visual abilities, auditory abilities, must be intact to perform duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Paycom experience a strong plus.
  • Preferred: SHRM-CP or CEBS (not required).
